ORAL PRESENTATIONS

IBA Georgia Conference will have three types of oral presentations:

  • Oral Presentations (15 minutes, 5 minutes for questions - or 20 minutes, no questions): Graphics and Powerpoint presentations must be presented in English, which is the official language for the IBA.
  • Invited Speakers (25 minutes, 5 minutes for questions): speakers will be contacted directly by the Program Committee.
  • Invited Workshop Speakers: speakers will be contacted directly by the Program Committee.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

May 16, May 17- poster set up
May 18 - poster session
May 19 - conference organizers will remove and return the posters to the authors.

Poster format:
Size requirements: not more than 80cm X 100cm
Orientation: portrait

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Abstract Format

  • Indicate whether submission is for a PRESENTATION or POSTER
  • Submissions will be accepted in Microsoft WORD only
  • Use BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS for title
  • Use CAPITAL LETTERS (non-bold) for all author names
  • List addresses for all authors (non-bold, lowercase)
  • Do not use scientific names for species in title, but list in abstract body
  • Summaries should be DOUBLE SPACED
  • Up to 600 words of text are permitted
  • Summaries should include information on sample size, study duration, major findings, new information gained, and the utility and significance of the study

File name should list submitting Author's last name (use A and B if submitting more than one abstract), and IBA2010 (e.g., SmithA_IBA2010.doc)

Please notify us if you have not received an acknowledgement receipt within 2 working days unless otherwise noted by an automated "out of office" email response.

The number of slots for oral presentations is limited; presentations will be selected to provide a varied and exciting program of papers, based on the project summaries submitted. Authors not chosen for an oral presentation are encouraged to present their work in poster format.

Authors will be notified about the results of selection no later than January 30, 2010.

Publication in Ursus

Authors are encouraged to publish their work in URSUS, the official scientific publication of the IBA.

Papers for URSUS are not due at the conference, but should be submitted electronically to http://allentrack2.net. Contact the Ursus Editor, Rich Harris, for other publication related questions.

Submission to Ursus

  • Indicate on your email whether you intend on submitting your paper to Ursus
  • NOTE: papers submitted to Ursus are not due at the conference, but may be submitted electronically to Rich Harris
